Consider scheduling some […]

MY MARRIAGE is almost perfect. I must accept the reality, however, that one key ingredient is missing. It’s something I must face each morning of each day, week after week, year in and year out. While I envy the millions of other couples around our globe doing it, making it, trying it, sharing it, I […]
I noticed…. On Sundays most the stores are closed. There’s limited shopping, few cars and many of the streets are closed for biking. Rent one and enjoy the quiet day. City life doesn’t get any better. The women mostly wear pants and the Mexico City dress code is casual. It seems sneakers are all the […]

Yoga has the ability to change and deepen our lives through the practice of conscious breathing, awareness of our bodies and thoughts and seeing the potential of who we can be. I have experienced this in my own life, and have seen it in the students I have taught and guided over the years. This ancient tradition offers much wisdom and insight that is relevant and applicable to our contemporary busy lives.
I started my yoga journey almost 30 years ago at the Kripalu Ashram in Massachusetts. Since then, I have studied a variety of styles and techniques in Canada and Bali such as Ashtanga, Anusara, Iyengar, Vinyasa and Restorative, and Pranala. I have led over 20 retreats in Bali (oneworldretreats.com) and was on the facility of the 200 hr and 300 hr Yoga Teacher Training at Intuitive Flow (intuitiveflow.com) from 2011-2017.
I have recently relocated to Ottawa where I will be offering smaller groups of students more personalized instruction to help them reach their yoga and wellness goals.
I feel my primary role as a yoga instructor is to assist others to learn the importance of balancing both rest (through Restorative Postures and Yoga Nidra) and activation of energy and prana (through Vinyasa Krama and mobility movements). My classes are unique as I draw on a number of traditions and you may find yourself on the wall with some props, in partners, lying quiety in a simple posture, practicing pranayama or turning upside down, maybe giggling and perhaps safely falling down!
As a member of Yoga Alliance, I have completed 800 hours of training within their framework, and many more before they existed.
